International Organization for Safety Management (IOSM)

Membership

The 4 Stages

The four levels of Professional Registration (membership) are explained below. They have been designed to complement your career at its various stages along with your level of expertise and experience, enabling you to recognise where you fit into the structure and to give you a clear path to follow as you progress. At each level, applicants will be assessed using psychometric testing tools to ascertain their skills, traits & drivers. This will enable their organisations to gain greater insight into their qualities and how best to use them and also help to plan development activities.

The IOSM has introduced a Student Membership level for anyone currently engaged in full time education of over 16 hours per week in the following area of disciplines such as environmental management, construction, vet medicine, public health, engineering or presently undergoing a safety qualification with IOSM. The aim of the Student Membership will be to provide younger people with an opportunity to engage with the institute at a reduced rate and to encourage participation in a programme of learning that we hope will enhance their current and future career prospects, with the chance to gain invaluable life skills as well as safety related training that will stand them in good stead with potential employers.
